What is instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization?

Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) is a technique that uses instruments to break down scar tissue from injured soft tissue to facilitate healing. Physical therapists use specially designed instruments to detect and treat fascial and myofascial restrictions, scar tissue, fibrosis and chronic inflammation.

What are the benefits?

In addition to promoting healing, IASTM allows physical therapists to locate and treat tissue dysfunction more easily. IASTM, as part of a treatment plan, can decrease pain, increase range of motion, shorten rehabilitation and stimulate the body’s healing response again.

I was referred to them by my cousin, that had a severe a shoulder injury. He had nothing but good things to say about the whole team at strive. And he was absolutely right. Not only is the staff, friendly and professional, The facilities is also clean. I walked in there, limping from an ankle surgery, Having a really hard time walking and feeling limitless doing basic daily task. Thanks god for Jessie. She has me back to normal. She has been extremely patient, knowledgeable and she has pushed me to where I’m at now. Which is 90% back to normal. I highly recommend Jessi because whoever is in her care, is in great hands.
