Strive Physical Therapy was founded in 2014 by Jeff Randall, MSPT, with a vision of helping patients achieve their highest level of function through hands-on care and treatment. Shortly after Strive opened its doors, Diane Baggs joined the team. Diane had an extensive background in owning and operating outpatient physical therapy clinics in the Colorado Springs area and was thrilled to jump in. Realizing the organization needed something different to keep growing, she implemented a fresh approach. Diane became the sole owner in 2019 and continues the original vision today. Strive Physical Therapy has expanded to four clinics in Colorado Springs and Fountain since opening.
At Strive Physical Therapy, we believe every patient is unique and does not fit into a one-size-fits-all treatment philosophy. Diane graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in exercise science and K-12 education. She continued her education in marketing and business development as she started her career at an outpatient physical therapy clinic in Colorado Springs. It wasn’t long until she knew that entrepreneurship was in her blood. In 1999 she opened her first outpatient practice and grew that over the next nine years before selling her three clinics. Her career continued in the area of homecare and hospice for a large company as a regional director over a number of states. Realizing her true love was still in the outpatient physical therapy arena and wanting out of the large corporate setting, she decided in 2014 Strive is where she was meant to be. Diane enjoys being a student of life and is continually studying and taking courses to increase her knowledge. She also has a passion for training and teaching others in management and leadership and you will find her helping other business owners in the community. She’s currently on the board of directors for Narconon Colorado and works with Drug Free World. During her free time, she spends time with her husband, Steve, and enjoys playing golf, skiing, working out and visiting her two grown children in California and Arizona.
Mark has been a physical therapist for over 35 years. He has degrees in adapted physical education, physical therapy, exercise physiology, pathokinesiology and biomechanics. Mark has worked extensively with high school, college, Olympic and professional athletes throughout his career. He was a consultant to the Chinese Olympic Committee leading up to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. He has led physical therapy and sports performance seminars throughout the United States and China. Mark holds certifications in manual therapy, dry needling, strength and conditioning, speed, agility and conditioning, medical professional through the Titleist Performance Institute, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and functional movement systems. Mark has been active in sports his entire life participating in soccer, swimming, rugby, crew, golf, running and triathlons. Mark enjoys cycling, weight training, riding his Harley and playing golf. He is currently an assistant coach for the women’s soccer team at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.
Kristin enjoys connecting with people. As a naturally happy person, she has a gregarious personality that serves her well in customer-focused careers. She holds a bachelor of art in economics and has worked in nonprofits, banking and medical marketing. Kristin also owned a clothing boutique in Fort Collins, Colorado, for six years. She loves being a part of a team that is helping people with pain. Kristin enjoys being with friends and family, being in nature, having solitude and laughing a lot.
Natalie grew up in Camp Wood, Texas playing sports and discovered that she wanted to help people live a healthier lifestyle. Natalie moved to Colorado in 2017 and started instructing kickbox classes. Her passion for helping others grew as she assisted members with meal plans, workout plans and coordinated events. Natalie enjoys spreading all of the great things Strive is accomplishing through our social media platforms. Natalie has been with Strive since 2019 and loves the opportunity to meet new people and help them! Natalie enjoys anything that’s outdoors including kayaking, rock climbing, hiking and trail running. She loves to spend time with her family and friends outdoors.
Originally from north-central Nebraska, Anthony earned his bachelor’s of science in exercise science. He worked as a rehabilitation technician where he developed his passion for rehabilitation, before deciding to become a physical therapist. He went on to earn his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Colorado. Before finding his home at Strive Physical Therapy, Anthony worked in many different settings, including hospitals and nursing homes. He is excited to help his patients meet their goals and get back to their lives without pain. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, snowboarding and most anything outdoors. Anthony and his wife enjoy bringing their son along on their outdoor adventures.
Jun earned a bachelor’s of science in business administration from the University of Washington before pursuing his doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He also holds a certificate in the Graston technique M1. He is passionate about helping his patients overcome both physical their emotional barriers to meeting their specific goals. Jun believes in providing compassionate care, empowering patients through education and utilizing evidence-based treatment techniques for long-term success. In his free time, Jun enjoys playing just about any sport, including golf, volleyball, tennis and pickleball. He also loves hiking, rooting for Seattle sports teams and trying new foods.
Jennifer has lived in Falcon, Colorado, for most of her life. She earned a bachelor’s of science in exercise science from Colorado Mesa University. Jennifer aspires to become a doctor of physical therapy and loves the outpatient orthopedic setting. On the weekends, she enjoys fishing, hiking, riding horses and being outdoors.
Matthew is originally from the southeastern United States, having grown up in Alabama, Georgia and Florida. He earned his bachelor’s of science in athletic training from the University of North Florida. He aspires to become a doctor of physical therapy. Matthew enjoys working with people to allow them to get back to what they enjoy doing. During his free time, Matthew enjoys hiking, skiing and anything outdoors. He plans to hike all of the 14ers in Colorado with his fiancé.
Madison graduated from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, with a bachelor’s of science in biology and exercise science. She is currently pursuing her master’s in biomedical sciences through Liberty University. Madison has experience working in general physical therapy and with patients with Parkinson’s disease. She would eventually like to become a doctor of physical therapy. She loves working with patients to better their lifestyle day by day and reach their goals. In her free time, Madison enjoys hiking with her dogs and watching sports, especially the Colorado Rockies and Avalanche.
Casey is originally from Virginia, but being a military wife, she has lived in Georgia and is now here in Colorado. She loves the close-knit relationships she shares with her Strive coworkers and being able to meet new people and talk to the patients daily. Outside of work, Casey enjoys spending quality time with her husband and family or just relaxing on the couch with a cup of tea while watching a movie. She enjoys hiking, hanging out with friends and taking care of her parrot and sheltie.
Jenni earned her bachelor’s of science from the University of Central Arkansas and her doctorate in physical therapy from Indiana State University. She is a certified Graston Technique provider and utilizes various manual techniques to provide hands-on treatment to patients. While Jenni enjoys all aspects of orthopedic physical therapy, her favorite area to treat is the foot and ankle. Jenni spent a season working with ski and snowboard injuries in Breckenridge and Keystone. In her free time, Jenni enjoys skiing, hiking, kayaking and Rockies baseball games.
A Colorado native from Loveland, Taylor earned her bachelor’s of science in biology from Southwestern College in Kansas, where she competed in track and volleyball. She went on to earn her doctorate in physical therapy from Wichita State University in Kansas. Taylor has experience in clinical settings ranging from general orthopedics to pediatric sports rehabilitation. She is especially interested in orthopedics, sports medicine and vestibular disorders. Taylor believes in the importance of skilled manual intervention, utilizing a hands-on approach, coupled with therapeutic exercises for the best treatment outcomes. She is passionate about helping people achieve their goals and reach their highest potential. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, biking, obstacle course racing and spending time with family and friends.
Graylen grew up in Englewood, Colorado. She earned her bachelor of art in sports medicine from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. It was there she discovered her passion for helping others. Graylen has been a Strive Physical Therapy team member since 2019 and enjoys her role. Her favorite part of working at Strive Physical Therapy is seeing patients heal through physical therapy to live their best lives again. As a Colorado native and military wife, she loves to be outside and spend time with her family and friends whenever possible. Her favorite activities include hiking, hunting, skiing, riding horses and cooking.
Daniel has over six years of exercise prescription and implementation. After getting his master’s of science in sports medicine, strength and conditioning, he worked as a personal trainer for four years. He discovered his passion for helping people reach their physical fitness goals. He joined the Strive Physical Therapy team in 2017 as an exercise specialist while he pursued his physical therapy assistant degree. In May 2020, he graduated with his physical therapy assistant degree from Pueblo Community College. Now as a physical therapy assistant, Daniel loves helping patients return to doing the activities they enjoy. He loves spending time with his family and outdoors rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding and doing yard work. Daniel has a special interest in geology, anthropology and physical fitness.
Tyler is originally from Idaho Falls, Idaho. He completed his undergraduate degree in human movement science and Utah State University in Logan, Utah. He went on to earn his doctorate in physical therapy at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. Tyler is passionate about empowering his patients and teaching them about why they are having pain, how to correct it and helping them enhance their quality of life. If his free time, Tyler loves spending time with his wife, family and friends. He enjoys staying active by playing basketball, hiking, bicycling and backpacking. His two dogs are often out adventuring with him.
Carmen earned her bachelor’s of art in criminal justice with a minor in law from the University of Puerto Rico. She is a military wife and loves doing sports with her daughter. She has a deep interest in exercise science and physical therapy. Carmen has coached group classes and offered weightlifting and gymnastics seminars. She hopes to continue her education and become a physical therapy assistant.
Dave was born in San Antonio, Texas, and raised here in Colorado Springs. He earned his bachelor’s of science in health and exercise science, with a minor in business administration from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Dave went on to earn his doctorate in physical therapy from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California. He has also completed an orthopedic residency program. Dave has an interest in sports medicine and sports performance for athletes of all levels. He is passionate about physical therapy and loves helping people achieve their goals. Dave enjoys spending time with his wife, Stephanie, and his two children. He is a die-hard Denver Broncos fan! His hobbies include sports, hiking, biking, hunting, snowboarding and listening to music.
Born in Florida, Kevin moved to Colorado Springs as a child and has lived here ever since. He earned his bachelor’s of science in health science, strength and conditioning, from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. Kevin also holds an associate of applied science for physical therapy assistant from Concorde Career College in Aurora, Colorado. He loves working with patients and is interested in learning new and innovative techniques. Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. He hopes to show his children that they can do anything that they want to. Kevin loves the outdoors and wants to run an X-terra triathlon before he turns 40.
Ian was born and raised in Kentucky. He earned his bachelor’s of science in biology and doctorate of physical therapy from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Ian was a Spanish major during his undergraduate studies and spent a semester abroad in Spain. He is passionate about orthopedic therapy and sports medicine. He believes that all people deserve to live an active lifestyle and perform all activities to their full potential. Ian loves to spend time outdoors with his wife, Lorenn, and their goldendoodle, Avo. His hobbies include hiking, climbing, soccer and disc golf. He also enjoys Sunday afternoons watching football after church. Ian enjoys travel and is always planning a trip across the country or overseas.
Adam grew up in the Saint Louis, Missouri, area where he also went to school at Maryville University. He competed on the track and cross-country team for four years and met his wife. He spent the first two years of his career in an outpatient setting and then nearly a year in home health to allow more flexibility for coaching runners. He moved to Colorado Springs in 2020 and is happy to be back in the clinic helping active individuals get back to living a healthy, active lifestyle. Being a long-time runner, coach and physical therapist has positioned him as a specialist in management of runners. In his free time, Adam enjoys running and biking, spending time with his wife and two dogs, learning about fitness and physical therapy and exploring the beautiful state of Colorado.
Sam enjoys working with a variety of populations and areas of physical therapy, including geriatrics, orthopedics, sports medicine and neurological issues. She is passionate about empowering patients through education. Sam focuses her treatment on a combination of strength training and exercise with manual therapy to help people reduce their pain and reach their goals and highest potential. In her free time, Sam likes to travel and stay active in various ways, such as weightlifting, running and practicing yoga. She loves spending time in the outdoors. After recently moving to Colorado, she is ready to explore everything it has to offer!
Makenzie was born and raised in Roseville, California, where she grew to love the outdoors. Her love for the outdoors led her to Laramie, Wyoming, where she obtained her bachelors of science in kinesiology and health promotion, with a minor in human and animal physiology, from the University of Wyoming. Makenzie is in the process of applying to school to become a doctor of physical therapy. In her free time, she enjoys camping, hiking, swimming and spending time with her family and friends.
Donovan is currently enrolled at the University of Colorado–Colorado Springs, pursuing his degree in exercise science. Donovan served in the Army for four years and is experienced in exercise and personal training. He loves to help others and to help patients heal and get stronger. Donovan hopes to continue his education and become a physical therapist while he continues to serve with the Colorado National Guard. He enjoys spending time with his family, going on hikes and watching movies.
Sarah attended Texas Christian University (TCU) where she earned her bachelors of science in athletic training. She went on to the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where she earned her doctorate in physical therapy. While at TCU, Sarah had the opportunity to work with every sport and enjoyed playing a small part in the athletes’ success in returning to their sports. She believes that everyone has gifts and talents and humbly believes hers is to see the potential in other people and inspire them to realize it too. Though she has a background in athletics, she enjoys working with all populations. Sarah and her husband recently relocated to Colorado from Texas to enjoy the great outdoors. In her free time, she can be found running on a trail, playing soccer or hanging out with her husband and dog, whose name is Sara, ironically.
Kamila is from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and has had the opportunity to travel and live in different countries throughout her life. Because she has been exposed to different cultures and people from all over the world, she has a passion for politics. Kamila graduated in three years with her bachelor’s of art in political science and speaks three languages: Russian, English and Korean. She loves to read and focuses on policies and prison reform in her free time. She is highly driven and motived. Through Strive, she hopes to be able to engage and learn more about the people in the community. Since moving to Colorado, she has been taking advantage of all the beautiful hiking places and discovering new restaurants. Kamila is passionate about health and loves to stay fit by working out.
Christian was raised in a small Kansas town and travelled the world as she was raised in a military family, and is currently a military wife. She holds a bachelor of arts in psychology and a certificate in medical office and administration. After graduating, she wished to aid others and enable them to have a better, healthier life. A great lover of the outdoors, Christian enjoys hiking, gardening and swimming. She also enjoys spending quiet afternoons reading a good book and loving on her pets.
